Mental Health is a state of well-being. It is the way we see ourselves, feel mhfaactionplanabout ourselves and the world around us. It refers to our emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual being.

This 12-hour Mental Health First Aid course was developed to teaches adults (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adults who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.

The philosophy behind the course is that mental health crises, such as suicidal and self-harming actions, may be avoided through early intervention. If a crisis does arise, members of the public can take action to reduce the harms that could result.
